While growth is on the cards for Asia in 2012, inflation is putting a dampener. ADB estimates that inflation in Asia is expected to quicken to an average 5.3 percent in 2011, and 4.6 percent in 2012. As policymakers implement cooling measures, higher interest rates, artificial depression of consumer prices, and even a lessening cash value is the scenario facing CFOs in Asia who will need to strategize to address higher funding costs and debt payment, and falling margins.
